Since the opening of their dutch office in 1997, they offer their clients a full range of Investment management Services, focused on international real estate funds. The dutch office has an informal and international culture. For the office in Amsterdam we are looking for new colleagues.

The Junior Controller reports to the Entity Controller. Please find below a summary of tasks performed by the junior controller

Cash management
  • Invoices preparation. invoices payment, requesting payment details from vendors.
  • Ensuring timely payment of invoices.
  • Setting wires, initiating payment request, checking execution of payments.
  • Preparation of relevant loan docs, div notes, resolutions for fundings/distributions
  • Initiating/ recommending deposits.
  • Checking intraday transactions folder and checking account balances in overview
  • Drafting funding/distributions memo's for mid-tier expenses
  • Opening new bank accounts

Deals/transactions/closings
  • Communication with internal and external parties involved in transactions (structuring, closing process, documentation etc)
  • Incorporation new entities and arranging/establishing board meetings
  • First review transaction documents (BV-details/signature blocks)
  • Arranging signatures
  • Communication and follow up with Sign
  • Updating relevant monitoring sheets for transactions/ initiated or completed actions
  • Archiving of documents
Accounting
  • Proper recording of daily (deemed) transactions
  • Proper documenting of transactions and preparing underlying specs
  • Maintaining BV-folders and deal folders and preparations for (quarterly) reporting

Audit
  • Preparation audit files
  • First point of contact junior auditors

Tax compliance (VAT/CIT)
  • Preparing VAT filings
  • Delivery of CIT packages to external advisor
  • Review of CIT filings prepared by external advisor
  • Arranging for tax registrations

Board meetings
  • Arranging board meetings (timing/ invitations etc with help of Office Management)
  • Keeping minutes and processing of minutes (incl action points)

General
  • Ongoing open communication/relationship building with investment/fund controllers, MS Business Unit, others from MSREF Amsterdam, external service providers
  • Keeping track of deadlines in monitoring sheets
Vacature eisen
  • HEAO AC/BE or university degree
  • Around 2 years of experience in Accountancy, Trust or in a Big4-audit firm
  • Self starting
  • Flexible attitude
  • Team player
  • No 9 - 5 mentality
  • Strong drive to develop/grow
  • Willing to learn/develop
  • Strong personality
  • Computer literate: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, knowledge of AccountView is a plus
